Mechanical Property Prediction of Larix gmelinii Wood Based on Vis-Near-Infrared Spectroscopy

چکیده
Larix gmelinii is the major tree species in Northeast China. The wood properties of different are quite and under strong genetic controls, so it can be better improved through oriented breeding. In order to detect longitudinal compressive strength (LCS), modulus rupture (MOR) elasticity (MOE) real-time, fast non-destructively, a prediction model mechanical with high precision stability constructed based on visible-near-infrared spectroscopy (Vis-NIRS) technology. featured wavelengths were selected algorithms competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS), successive projection algorithm (SPA), uninformative variable elimination (UVE), synergy interval partial least squares (SiPLS) their combinations. models then developed square regression (PLSR). predictive ability was evaluated coefficient determination (R2) root mean error (RMSE). It indicated that CARS performed best among four methods examined terms wavelength-variable selection. combined wavelength selecting method SiPLS-CARS showed performance than single selection method. optimal LCS, MOR MOE SiPLS-CARS-PLSR model, R2 calibration set validation both greater 0.99, RMSE smallest. NIR for predictions has accuracy good robustness.

Prediction of Freshness Quality and Phosphate Residue of White Shrimp Products Using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy
Background: The manufacturing of frozen shrimp is an important industry for the economy of Thailand. The objective of this study was to use Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy to determine the freshness quality, including Total Volatile Basic Nitrogen (TVB-N) and Water Holding Capacity (WHC) of white shrimp (whole and chopped shrimp) and phosphate residues of shrimp. Methods: Sixty white shrimp ...
متن کاملNondestructive Firmness Estimation of Tomato Fruit Using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy
Today, nondestructive methods are widely used to determine the quality of agricultural products. Meanwhile, visible and near-infrared (Vis/NIR) spectroscopy is regarded as one of the most widely used methods in the field of quality assessment of agricultural products. In this study, a system was developed to measure the Vis/NIR spectra of tomato fruit samples in the half-transmittance mode of m...
متن کاملbrain near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs)
near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) is a spectroscopic method that uses the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. typical applications include medical and physiological diagnostics. nirs can be used for non-invasive assessment of brain function through the intact skull in human subjects by detecting changes in blood hemoglobin concentrations associated with neural activity, e.g., ...
متن کاملApplication of Near Infrared Spectroscopy to Preservative-Treated Wood
Near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy is now a widely-used technique in the field of forest products, especially for physical and mechanical property determinations. This technique is also ideal for the chemical analysis of wood. There has been a growing need to find a rapid, inexpensive and reliable method to distinguish between preservative-treated and untreated waste wood. It has been demonstrate...
